June 2nd, 2008June 27th
I am so proud of myself for being such a good little blogger, and to think i have always been so anti-blog. I have tons of stuff to post but for today it’s a wedding and an engagement. Visit back and maybe you will see a few familiar faces from sessions with…the Robertsons, baby Carlen, the Young family, baby Bella and Maddox, baby Brett, and these special 1 year olds, Brett, Case and Brody! Now on to the wedding!
Alison and Tim were married on June 7th in Celina Tn. It was such a great family wedding.Alison is an attorney in Nashville and Tim is a CPA there.Tim’s 8 year old son, Dean was the best man and his daughter Sydney (5 yrs.) was the best girl. Alison’s son Mack (7yrs.) and daughter Carley (5yrs.) both walked her down the isle and gave her away. Here are some of my favorite details…
The lovely bride and handsome groom.
The best man Dean. He and Mack did a great job seating everyone.
Father and son having a heart to heart, look at that child’s precious face.
Alison and Mack.
Right after they all came back down the isle they had this group hug.
The end.
I met Jen and David at his family farm near Livingston. They are tying the knot in August in Cookeville.
This was the coolest little out building back in the woods.
Man this water was cold!!
These last set of pics crack me up. Does Jen remind anyone of the church lady from SNL in this first one?
June 23rd
Hello everyone-here we go-first set of photos,Wren and Andrew are getting married on the 4th of July! We went to a few different locations for their engagement session. They were great to work with.
This cat just showed up when we were shooting.
I found this place a week before when i was out doing another engagement session. We actually thought that leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre might possibly come running out of one of the abandoned houses…but he didn’t.
For some reason this shot makes me think of a subway in Japan. Not that i have ever been, but this is what i think it might look like.
Oh, i forgot to mention the little bio. Wren is an elementary school teacher and Andrew is a Veterinary Technician.
Next we have Anna and Jason. Anna is in Med. school at Memphis and Jason is getting his MBA there. We started the session here in town, where Jason about had his right hand removed by a dog hanging out of a car parked along the sidewalk. Just kidding-it just nipped at him.
We then drove out to a horse farm east of town.
It started to drizzle a little but they got out in the canoe anyway.
These horses were like a group of dogs following everyone around. This one was a real camera hog.
I did Jamie’s bridal portraits on June the 17th and here wedding on June 21st. She is great! So is her now husband Matt. There wedding pics will be up soon. I went to her mothers home in Sparta then we went around town there. Here are some of my favorites.
She looked very Audrey Hepburn.
Here are a few shots from Lindsay and Josh’s wedding on May 31st. They were married in Sparta. We did alot of the pictures at her mothers house which is over 100 years old. All of the children in the wedding were all so precious.
The flower girl.
God bless the ring bearer. He had a breakdown right when it was time to go down the isle. This picture cracks me up!
This is my new Favorite Picture Ever! Jackson Davenport at his finest.
I have been taking his picture since he was a baby-now he has a baby brother rhys.
And here he is!
More kid pics later! Alison and Tim’s wedding coming in the next day or two.
June 20th

Now i can finally post Beth and Owen’s wedding! They were married May the 17th in Gordonsville. They chose her family farm which was incredible. The house that she grew up in was passed down through the family and it is 175 years old. I thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone that day.

These guys were so nice!

Owen seeing Beth in her dress for the first time.

The family dog Ally was with us for all of the pictures, looking very concerned.

The ring bearer Will who is also Beths nephew.

This was the old smokehouse in the back yard.

Look at this view!

Beth and her daughter Claire.

Here are a few sessions from this week!
First the Linder twins, 3 year old Sophie and Luke.

They were so cute-The family came in from Jamestown for the shoot. We met at the Cookeville depot. The kids had never been there before and they loved it!

Anyone remember the kid in Jerry McGuire (and Stuart Little)? He sounded just like him.

After we finished at the depot we went up to Ralph’s donut shop. Here is Sophie picking out her donut.

Can you say SUGAR RUSH.
Sweet little Dylan is one month old. He has a two sisters,10 and 16 years old who doted on him the whole time. They were so sweet to him.

His aunt had given him this bracelet.

I loved meeting these folks. They had extended family in from Atlanta and they were a fun bunch!

Daughter Alexsis on the neighbors tire swing.

Mom and Dad Jill and Will. What a cute couple.

Wills brother Greg and his family.

Alexis in her room.

Sister in laws!

This week my daughter Josie and her friends had a lemonade stand. They prepared everything the night before (with a little help). They were so excited to start the next day…

Josie, Addie,Lauren and Emma. The first hour was full steam ahead. They patiently waited…
And waited…

and waited

Finally a taker!

They had a great time. They raised $71!!!They are going to give it to the Humane Society.
Of course sister Millie missed out on the fun.

But she sure had a good nap.

Her favorite squeaky toy…Dot.
Happy summer! As i sit here posting, i am listening to my favorite band Vampire Weekend. All of you music fans out there must check this band out. I also have one of their songs on my random section of the website.
I will soon be posting weddings from the past two weeks on the blog so check back. Here are some sessions that i’ve had here recently. Enjoy!
The Clark family drove in from Nashvegas for their session. Their son Bennett (4 yrs.) no doubt stole the show. The minute he got to the farm he was on a hunt for Cicada skins. He also went on to inform me about the circulatory and respiratory systems (bet you can’t guess what his dad does).

Here is Bennett with one of the thousands of poppies.

This is sister Renn with mom.

Running down the hill…

falling down the hill.

Is she not adorable?

Renn with dad.

The whole family and dog too.

Before they left, Bennett had to show me his sunglasses. I love my job.
The Gleasons are such a great family.

This is Laura Cummins in her playhouse that her uncle made for her.

Laura Cummins sister Mary Catherine and brother John-John took us trekking through the woods in their back yard to this stream.

The Gleason fam.

Yes, for all who are wondering, that is Dr. Gleason. I had a great time with them.
Okay-this little guy absolutely had me in stitches the whole time i was there. He was so shy and skiddish. His mom had me come out to get photos of him with all of his animals. He seemed a little terrified of them. Mom said it was just a bluff though. His name is Tucker and he is 4.

What cowboy is complete without crocs?

The miniature horse that nips at your butt and legs.

I looked out in the field and he was dancing a jig.

As we were standing by the barn Tuckers mom told me that he LOVED westerns. This shot was while i asked him which was his favorite, which he then confidently informed me was High Noon.

This kid sang the whole song from High Noon. This shot is mid chorus.
Next we have Katie-Claire age 4. Lots of 4’s this week!

We were walking through the house when i snapped her looking out the window.

After she changed into something a little more comfy, we walked down the trail in their backyard to an awesome creek. It looked like fairies might live down there.

What kid doesn’t love bubbles?

Impressive shadow puppets.
Oh gosh i almost forgot! I promised my 10 year old Josie that i would post pics form her birthday party (may 16th).

Josie with her friends. She is in the middle with the fishnet hose on (she was Tina Turner for famous Tennesseans day at school).

Liza enjoying a finger and an orange crush.

Emma.

Fun on the trampoline.

Even more fun on the zipline! This thing has been such a huge hit with everyone.

Baylor and Natalie waiting their turn for it.

The birthday girl with her beverage of choice.

Some of Jo’s friends entertaining her sister Millie.
