Can you say Kindermusik nightmare? For those of you who have children, chances are, you have had the Kindermusik experience. You go in and sing and read and move with your child. With my firstborn this was a fun time and she was a great baby. Now, when i go with Millie in tow, she has a complete meltdown basically through the whole class. By the time we leave, i have apologized to everyone multiple times, and i am beginning to think that my 14 month old needs to go to anger management therapy. Do they have that for toddlers? Here she is waiting for her sister to get home from school.

Here comes sister.

Max in his Christening dress.

I love this picture! Augusta wanted her turn to hold Max so she was a little upset.

September 22nd

Good Monday morning! I just walked Josie to school and now i am waiting for Millie to wake up, so i thought i would post some pictures while i was waiting.I had a new wedding experience this weekend, Alicia and Nate were married in the middle of the road in front of the depot under the cream city sign.I loved it! I’ll post those soon but in the mean time here is Jen and David’s wedding!

JEN AND DAVID

They were married at her parents house out in Hidden Cove. It was a beautiful setting under a big oak tree!

They had these pears in buckets for their centerpieces.

Jen was on of the happiest brides that i have ever seen!

There were so many adorable children there!

It started to rain right when the ceremony started so everyone piled in under the tent until it passed.

Thank you guys for having me at your wedding! I loved it!!!!

THE RICH FAMILY

Emily had me to come up to her parents house and take pictures of the whole family.  Their property was beautiful, complete with miniature horses and Trumpeter swans!

Madison leading the pack.

I don’t know if you have ever had contact with trumpeter swans, but they are huge, hot tempered and very strong! I love this picture. It looks like they are having a very serious conversation.

They are very sweet with each other though.

Little Laya.

ALICIA AND NATE

I loved working with Alicia and Nate! They are hilarious and so sweet with each other.

Obviously Nate loved the rope swing at the farm!

Check back very soon for Nikki and James’ wedding, and other kid and baby sessions!

September 16th

The King and I is on the tube right now (Yul Brenner and Deborah Kerr), it’s a great oldie. I have slowly started decorating for my favorite holiday! Halloween!!! I love it! I have the best childhood and teenage memories of it! If you know where i live (253 east 7th) and you drive by at night, look at the upstairs window and there is a cat silhouette under the moon. Downstairs in the living room window is a creepy witch. I love the way they look. Thank you marthastewart.com! The pumpkins on the porch are coming soon! My family is complaining that it is way to early to decorate but I DON’T CARE!

NIKKI’S BRIDAL SESSION

Nikki and James were married this past Saturday so I will have their pictures ready in a couple of weeks. Here are some of my favorites from her bridal shoot.

Isn’t this shot funny!!

THE DUDNEY FAMILY

I met the Dudney’s at their family farm close to Livingston. The first time i photographed them baby Racheal was still in her mommy’s tummy! So here we have Sarah 6, John Morgan 3 and Rachael 13 months!

I love his face in this one.

Please excuse me while i brush these beautiful blond locks out of my face.

THE DAVIS FAMILY

The last post of the night is the Davis family. They were such a nice family and Grace (the youngest) cracked me up the whole time! I did Jessie’s senior pictures while we were there too. Here she is.

Look at grace in the middle!

I have many more sessions to post so come back soon! Next time…Jen and David’s wedding, Alicia and Nate’s engagement (they were a riot!) baby pics and kid pics!

MILLIE BUG

Happy Friday! I”m about to go see a movie for my date night, but i thought i would post a few pictures first. While i was working today, i had to take a picture of what i looked over and saw.

I new this stinkin’ American girl doll stage would be played with someday! I just love her!

Even the theater seat is getting good use.Her little booty fits in it perfectly!

That’ my little Millie bug! I will post more later! I’m off to the movie.

September 7th

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I absolutely did! After taking pictures at Cougar Run (a fundraiser for one of the local elementary schools) we (my family and i) went to a great party at our good friends, the Johnstons house . They have it every year on the Friday of the fall funfest. They always have the best parties! The next day we funfested it all day, then took my father in-law out to Crawdaddys for his 60th birthday. It was quite entertaining listening to my husband and mother arguing over the presidential hopefuls.

K-on to pictures!

JEN BOSWELL

Jen looked so pretty in her bridal portraits! I will be posting her wedding pics in very soon so check back!

THE GENTRY FAMILY

I took pictures of Ella (3 yrs.) and her mom last year so it was good to see them again. They are part of the Carthage crowd that comes in for pictures.

TIFFANY and SHANE

Tiffany and Shane were married at the historic Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville. If you haven’t ever been there , i would highly recommend a visit. It is incredible!

While we were waiting on the bride, the groomsmen and I headed over to the capitol for some shots.

The bride , putting on her mascara.

This is the ceiling in the veranda where the ceremony was held.

After shooting the wedding party pictures i had the bride and groom walk down to the old arcade building to see the shoe shine guy.

Thank you to Percy’s shoe shine.

This was Tiffany’s cousin in from The Citadel.

First dance.

I loved every minute of it! Thanks you guys! Check back this week for more posts! Oh I almost signed of without party pics! Here are a few.

August 31st

Hello everyone and happy early September (today is Aug.31st). Hope everyone had a good weekend! I have so far! I spent the better part of Friday in Nashville at the Apple store hanging out with the fine folks there. The screen on my trusty MacBook Pro has come up blank, so they had to send it off. Have you ever been to one of their stores? It’s a sight. All of the guys that work there have the trendy hip look with their t-shirts that say “not all hero’s wear capes” or “genius” on them. They are incredibly nice too. Overall it was a 4 out of 5 star experience. While they were backing up 16,000 pictures of off my hard drive (which took a couple of hours) I had a chance to go shopping. Lucky kid shop in Green Hills has the coolest kids cloths ever! Then i visited PoPo which if you have kids you have to visit. They have the most off the wall stuff there.

Saturday I spent the day with Jen and David shooting their wedding.I always love weddings where i see lots off people i know, and this was one of them.I’ll have the pics in a couple of weeks. Today we had a great sermon in church with our new minister Mr. Max Mayo and tomorrow we are looking forward to our first annual neighborhood block party ,minus my hubby who doesn’t get Labor Day off from school.

Right now i am off to shoot a few sessions but first here are some pics for you-Jody and Kyle were married on August 2nd at Algood Methodist. I love that little church. It is so quaint and the natural light is excellent.

Here one of the groomsmen just happened to be sneaking a peek.

I was happy with the old vintage feel of this one.

Oh my gosh this was so cute! The little flower girl got carried away and dropped all of her petals at one time! She didn’t know what to do.

A Sweet Sallie’s creation.

Talk of the Town did the catering.

While the bride and groom were getting ready to leave this little guy was still feasting on cake. Micheal Judd (Kyles dad) owner of MichealTyler Co. did all of the flowers for the wedding.

THE SUMMERS FAMILY

Now for the Summers family. They were so great to work with. I met them out at their farm for their session.

Daniel is 3 and Dawson is 7.

Daniel would follow Dawson wherever he went.

Nicole and Matt are such a cute couple.

Love the look.

Right before we were finishing up, I had decided to take some pics of Nicole and Matt by themselves. Daniel and Dawson went to wait in the car and this is what we turned around and saw….Dawson with Guns and Roses cranked as loud as it would go and his attempt at a rock and roll sign.

BABY HUDSON

Next is baby Hudson only 5 weeks old.

The blanket was his dad’s when he was little.

What a sweet,sweet baby.

There is that hair swirl that i love.

Hello i’m thinking please don’t bug me.

The little shoes in the foreground were also dads when he was a baby.

THE FAB FOUR

Okay here is the incredibly fun siblings i was telling you about-Mary Beth, Kim,Matt and Brant. They were so great!

Aren’t they a handsome family?

I went up to their parents house up on the mountain in Sparta. It was the most beautiful piece of land I have ever seen!

Thank you, thank you guys for being so much fun to work with!!! Check back soon for Jen’s bridal portraits, Tiffany and Shane’s wedding and many more families and kids too! Have a great Labor Day!
