OCTOBER SESSIONS
October 3rd, 2008
- OCTOBER 28TH
It’s almost Halloween! Everyones costume is in order except mine. Josie is a witch and Millie is a bat and i will probably just be some random black cloaked scary thing.
We took Josie and one of her friends to the haunted forest at Southern Hills golf course this weekend. We got there thinking it wasn’t going to be that great, but the girls said it was! Yes that’s right I didn’t go through it! I opted to stay on the hayride wagon instead. I like to be scared from a distance and be able to hide my face, so walking through was not an option for me. Before the wagon pulled up to the woods to drop everyone off, Michael Myers (the one from Halloween the movie, not Shrek the movie) came running out from the darkness and jumped on with us. That was enough for me. So Millie and I were the lone riders back to the safety of lights and the clubhouse. I had to laugh to myself when we were pulling off and i heard the roars of several chainsaws and the shrieks of everyone. Ahhh it’s great to be a wuss!
THE MASSENGILLES
I love them! They are such a fun family. I drove out to Leanne’s parents house in Livingston a few weeks ago to do these. Their house is beautiful! Here are some of my favorites.

Clay above.
You know the session is over when someone starts bawling.
These kids were great! Thanks you guys!

LUKE and ALLIE GRACE
The day I took pictures of Luke and his sister Allie Grace it poured immediately after we finished. They are such sweet children.
Luke was in the process of getting into his fancy clothes here.
She wanted to keep up with him so bad. Wait come back!
Check back very soon for more! I will be posting Megan and Wes’ engagement pictures (Halloween costumes and all), Bethny and Brian’s wedding and more random sessions!

OCTOBER 16TH
Hello all! I’ve not been a good blogger but it is because i have been so busy. It’s all i can do to keep up with editing photos! Well i am very sad (an understatement for my 10 yr. old) that fall break is almost over! I am ready for Halloween though. I did make an honest attempt at hand sewing a costume for Jo, but i just don’t have the time, so i have handed it off to Ms. Helen Bandy to finish for me. Does that officially qualify me as a sub par mother? I guess that when you are raising two kiddos, your husband is in school and your bringin’ home the bacon your allowed to do that right?
Just to let you all know, I am so thankful to all of the people who use me as their photographer and I am so blessed to be able to support my family at this time with something i love to do! It amazes me everyday! Okay, enough mushiness and on to pictures…
BRITTANY AND CODY
We thought it would be fun to go to Amazing Acres for their engagement shoot. They will be getting on May the 23rd next year, which seems to be a very popular date for weddings!
I look forward to working with you all!

ALICIA AND NATE
This wedding was one of the most unique that i have done. It was held on September 20th, in front of the depot, in the road, under the historic Cream City sign! It made for some unbelievable shots! Sorry there are so many. I couldn’t help it!
Does the above picture not look like it is straight out of the 1930’s?

Their reception was held at the Summit and Sweet Sallies made the cake!
Lots of dancing going on at this gig.
Nate’s grandpa was the king of bubble blowing that night! He brought out the big bubbles for it.
Capped the night off by hopping over to the train for a few shots. They were such a fun couple to work with! Thanks you all! I’m signing off for now. I literally have twenty sessions to post not including Bethny and Brians wedding so check back very soon for lots of familiar faces!

Happy October! It is shaping up to be a very busy month! Just to get you into the spirit here is a shot for you.
Like i told you, i have already been decorated for a couple of weeks. Looks creepy huh? On to some pictures that you might be more interested in…
NIKKI and JAMES
These two were great to work with. They are so in love. I know that sounds cheesy but they really are. The tears were flowing during the ceremony and the kisses were flying after it. When i did Nikki and James’ engagement pictures i was talking to James, and he told me who his dad was. He was my adviser when i was at Tennessee Tech, Dr. Tom Roberts. Yes fyi i have my degree in wildlife biology. I went to UT for the first 3 1/2 years of my college career then finished up at Tech, which i loved. So there you go, small world.
They were married at St. Micheal’s Episcopal and the reception was held at Twin Oaks.
Here is James seeing Nikki for the first time in her dress.
Here is the beginning of the tears. Look how sweet she is looking at him!

LITTLE LIAM
For this session i met Liam at his aunt Jill and uncle Jeff’s house. They have recently moved back to Cookeville. Jeff is finished with med school and is working with Dr. Copeland and Dr. McCarter. Welcome back!
Always fun to play in the road in a pile of dirt! I love it!
