MAY HAPPENINGS AND PHOTOS

May 2nd, 2009

MAY 28th

Howdy. Thought i would take a break from editing weddings to post some pictures for you. These first ones are of Megan. Megan and Wes were married a couple of weeks ago ( those pics will be coming soon), and for her bridal shoot she wanted to surprise him by doing her bridals at Neyland Stadium. It was great! They had just painted the field the night before for the orange and white scrimmage. Her sister Brooke and niece Cara Lee went too. I had a great time. The first one is in the car on the way.

Poor Cara Lee was done!

After we finished at the stadium we drove over to the Old City. It was the bomb! It had the coolest spots!

We had some onlookers in the old JFG building across the street. I love this picture.

Yee Haw printing. What a cool place.

Greg and Lindsay

These two are hilarious. I have known Greg since high school but i didn’t realize what a funny guy he was. You will see what i mean in a minute.

His idea.

Lindsay and her daughter Taylor. They look more like sisters!

If anyone knows Greg Ford,of course i had to get the guitar in there!

I have been laughing about these pictures since i took them. They are hilarious to me.

This trailer was on the property where we were shooting and Greg suggested we take some there. He definitely played the part perfectly. Shirt unbuttoned and all. He had a bb gun that he pulled out of his car just to top things off.

This picture makes me think of the Georgia Satellites or the Kentucky Headhunters.

Thanks guys for being sooo much fun!! Can’t wait for the  wedding this weekend!

The Summers family

I have been taking little Jorgias pics for years now. She is so beautiful! Now she has a handsome baby brother named Jude.I went to do this session at their beautiful home in Carthage. Here they are (along with mom and dad).

She had to show me how she puts on her RED lipstick.

Look at that precious face!

She was being gently scolded here. This is my favorite.

Back to work!! More later! Have a great weekend!

MAY 14th

Go get your self a drink and a snack, because today’s blog is a doozy. Speaking of drinks….True story, my husband goes to get a coffee every morning, so yesterday I asked him to get me a mocha, latte whatever . My request was make it sweet and DECAF. He came back with my drink which i sucked down in about 5 minutes (very tasty i must say). The drink was NOT decaf. I figured that out about 5 pounds and 20 minutes later. I have this weird thing about coffee. I’m fine with cokes, tea and other caffeinated drinks but not coffee.  It was awful! Picture the Seinfeld decaf zinger episode, my eyes buggy and all. I won’t be asking for anymore coffee products…ever.

Oh big news, we have two new family members…Ruby and Trixie! They are two very funny Guinea pigs that Josie got for birthday number 11. I will post some pictures of them next time. Onward…

JULIE BETH AND BRANDON

I met Julie Beth and Brandon up at Camp Country Lad on a Sunday afternoon for their session.Brandon works there during the summer (and it’s where he proposed to Julie Beth). I loved getting the tour of it because my daughter goes to CCL’s sister camp which is Camp Monterey. I am so looking forward to shooting their wedding in August!

DANI AND JACOB

I met Dani and Jacob out at the farm for the first part of their session, then we went into town for the last half of it. They will be tying the knot in July!

KRISTEN AND JON

For Kristen and Jon’s session we went to several random places around town. As you will see one place is the old Woodford Motor building. Just by luck, Mr. Woodford himself just happened to be there and he let us come inside for some pictures too! Oh and Kristen wanted the pictures to be quirky (yee haw, my favorite!) I think i succeeded!

Enter Abby and Eleanor Rigby.

The wedding will be in August-i hope the pooches will be there too!

MADDOX AND MILES

Oh Lordy, these two are precious and hilarious!!! Mad was in rare form this day! Check them out!

He brought these goggles just for the heck of it, and just had to wear his bright red cowboy boots!

Goggles got stuck in his hair when he took them off. It was quite a scene. What a sweet face though.

Now brother Miles. Look at those crocodile tears!!

The tears didn’t last long.

THE LANKFORDS

The Lankfords invited me to come to their beautiful farm in Gordonsville for a shoot. What a cute family! Wyatt and Jaylee were so great!

Beautiful Baby!

After we did shots inside, they drove me through their property, and on the back side of it were the train tracks. It was beautiful! We stood on a bridge right over the Caney Fork river.

Waiting on the four wheeler!

This was the last shot. She was done!

EMILY

Here is beautiful Ms. Emily. What a sweet girl. This session was for her senior pictures.

BABY LEO

Little Leo resides in New York City. He was in to visit the grandparents with his mom Meg. This is one cute baby! Can’t wait to see him again!

This shot was my favorite.

Okay that’s it for today. I will try to post more this weekend!
