Oh happy day!!!

February 24th, 2011

I have to put these on my blog! I was sooo honored to document the birth of little Parker Burke Witt. Born to Liz and Daniel on Tuesday February 22nd at 7:40 p.m. He weighed 7lbs.6 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. I have not taken pictures of a birth in about 2 1/2 years so I LOVED THIS! It is by far the biggest day in a persons life. Yes weddings are special, but there is NOTHING that compares to giving birth to your baby. It is such a surreal, emotional and beautiful moment. I really don’t get emotional when taking pictures of most things but this one caused a few tears.

I had arrived just as the pushing had started.Brings back memories for most of us, doesn’t it?

Liz did such a great job! Daniel was there to sweetly encourage her. They are such a great couple! I actually met them when I did there wedding several years ago. Love you guys!

The time was drawing near for the actual birth, so enter Paige Gernt MD, Ob and CL(Cheer Leader). Anyone that has had her for a doctor knows how upbeat and encouraging she is. It was good to see her again!

The big moment was finally here.

What a precious bundle of baby joy.

At one point Liz looked up and said ” I can’t believe I just had a baby.” It is an incredible thing. Mom’s, don’t you remember feeling that way? You had carried this little person around inside of you for 9 months, daydreaming about what he or she was going to look like and then ,the moment is there. The emotion is overwhelming.

I followed Daniel into the waiting room where there were at least 20 people eagerly awaiting the news that all was well.

Then ALL of them were escorted back to meet Parker. Liz’s mom was the first one in the door.

A group prayer was said…

Then as quickly as everyone came in, they left…and then there were three. A perfect little beginning for a happy little family.

Congratulations to the Witt and Maberry families! Thank you so much for letting me be part of this day.

Amy, you captured the emotion and it jumped right off the photo into the heart! I don’t cry much either but I shed tears looking at the pictures of this baby’s birth and the deep feelings of love and joy all over the parents, family and friends faces.

These are the most beautiful pictures that brought sweet, happy tears to my eyes. You captured what a birth of a child is-a precious blessing. Looking at these, I felt like I was in the delivery room. Great job!

HEATHER AND BRANDON

February 5th, 2011

I have been horrid about blogging. I finished my last wedding of the year in December but i have neglected to post some of my favorites from earlier in the year. Sooo, let’s step back and remember the HOTTEST day of the year shall we? That would be August the 14th. Heather and Brandon were married at The Shadowbrooke Inn in Joelton Tennessee on that very day. Despite all of the humidity and sweat, these two looked awesome and the ceremony was beautiful.

Brandon presented Heather’s daughter Christiana with this precious locket during the ceremony. It was a tearjerker.

So sweet…….

I would like to say that the emotions shown in these photos are so heartfelt, intense, and intimate that you almost want to look away.

These are hilarious! What’s not to love!

Where did October go???

November 4th, 2010

Holy cow-this month has been insanely busy. I don’t even know where to start. In between weddings and regular sessions we took a vacation to Seagrove Florida. The weather was great and the beaches were empty. Here are a few shots. The bathing beauties had a ball too!

Family friends the Williams went too. Molly Ross, Emma, Addie and friend Avery. We made some feathered friends the days that we hung out at the ocean. They would come eat right out of our hands!

Now for Natalie Bates and Chase McMillan! This wedding has been a LONG time coming! These two have been a couple for many years and I am so happy for them, as I know everyone else is too!  It was such a beautiful, yet bittersweet day. Natalie lost her father a little more than a year ago, so his absence was hard for the family. He was definitely there in spirit though. Natalies sisters and mother walked her down the isle, then they all released a bouquet of white balloons in his memory. It was so touching. The ceremony was held at the Williams house here in town.

Natalies niece Carson was the flower girl.

Mother of the bride, Debbie, wanted to do a picture of all three of her girls in their wedding dresses… it was a 90′s fashion throwback for Abby and Celeste. Check out the puffy sleeves back there. Natalie actually wore her mothers dress and embellished it with lace. It was beautiful on her. I love the birdcage veil too.

The bride and groom.

I love how Debbie is watching the balloons go…

Thank you all so much for having me be part of your day. It was beautiful.
