JULY 27th

Hello heat!!! It has been so hot this month! Moving on…just in case you haven’t heard (mom’s and daughters) the Cookeville childrens museum is having a fundraiser on Friday, August 1st from 6-9 p.m. It is a spa night and i will be taking pictures there. Dr. Lisa Whittaker’s staff will be there to do facials, nails and botox injections. Just kidding about the botox!! Call Susan at 520-3866 if you are interested!

Pictures!I have a ton of sessions to post but tonight i am only posting my 4th of July wedding.

Wren and Andrew were married here in Cookeville the afternoon of the 4th.It poured, and i do mean poured, before the ceremony, but stopped just in time!Wren was just great to work with.Andrew was too.

Andrew had given her these pearls as a gift.

Thank you my fabulous friend Rena Johnston for the use of your porch-(she probably still doesn’t even know we were there!)

She had four cakes!

I know this is s slightly strange picture, but i am in a reflection phase. We were walking past these windows and the bride and flower girl were scouting the skies for raindrops.I just happened to catch them in mid glance.

Groomsman Jason and one of his sons.

One of the flower beautiful flower girls.

All of the groomsmen had blue vans on.

Look at their little fourth of July tie and vest.

We just stayed out in the middle of town and watched the show.It was quite spectacular.

I am so glad to have been able to work with these two!

I will post more pictures from sessions later this week!

JULY 18

I’ve been a bad blogger! I am going to try to post once a week from now on.

On to pictures!

Rebecca and Nick were married on June 28th here in Cookeville at St. Thomas Catholic Church. If you will remember there was a torrential downpour that day! Well it stopped right before I got there, so we were so lucky! Here are a few favorites…

Rebecca just finished school.

Rebecca was such a fun bride. She was so laid back and stress free. Oh yes-a big thanks to Bobby and Deborah Williams for the use of their beautiful yard and pool house!

Nick is a musician.

What a beautiful couple!

They will live in Nashville.

The whole Boucher family.

Julie and Bill were married in Oak Ridge at St. Annes Orthodox Church.I have never done an Orthodox wedding before. This one happened to be Russian Orthodox. There are so many different parts to it. The betrothal, exchange of rings, the crowning, candles, and drinking from the chalice. In this particular church, even during regular services everyone stands for the entire service. This ceremony lasted for one hour and yes one person actually passed out toward the end. I loved hearing about all of the traditions involved.

Here is Julie getting ready.

The crowns were imported from Russia.

Prayer candles. One is lit for each prayer.

I love this picture of her.

She works on the heart team at CMRC.

This is her nephew.

Bill is a major in the army.

The reception was held at The Flatwater Grille. The food was great!

Sweet little Brooke. She is 3 and she is adorable!

She smiled the entire time.

Playing with her shadow.

Performing her monkey dance for me.

We had to get her in her princess costume.

Thank you Linda Carlen for the use of your front and back yard!

This is baby Westin. He just happens to be all of 2 weeks old!

I love the hair swirl!

I love taking pictures in the nursery.

Now for miss Millie’s one year bash!

The birthday princess!

this picture courtesy Shea Callahan!

Balloon baby.

Finishing off the night with a bottle and her new beanbag!

More family fun redneck style!

Just picture a Sunday afternoon at the Roaring River. Here it is. It’s actually a gorgeous place.

Josie tubing down the river looking a slight bit concerned about snakes.

After the first run and no snakes it was time to take Millie. Now Millie looks a little concerned!

Cousin Jack with his faithful boots on. (He never wears anything else.)

Brother Wade had to get in on the action too.

A fun time was had by all!

JULY 7

Hope everyone had a great 4th! I spent my evening at the Heckman/Saylors wedding. It was great! I have been waiting all year for an opportunity to photograph fireworks! For those of you who don’t know me, I have a bit of an obsession with pyrotechnics. I will post pics from that wedding soon!

My daughter Jo is back from camp-I have missed her terribly. We are quickly learning that my soon to be one year old has a horrid temper! This weekend I took something from her and she cried so hard that she passed out. Turned blue and all. It was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me! I cried for a couple of hours afterward. All is well after some pediatric reassurance. I foresee anger management at age 2!

Now on to pictures!–I thoroughly enjoyed this wedding. Jamie and Matt were married here in Cookeville on June 21st. They met at David Lipscomb Univ. and now reside in Daytona Florida where Matt is originally from.

Jamie’s dress was custom made for her in Spain. The overlay made it gorgeous.

Here they are having their first peek of the day at each other. What a happy little couple.

This car was great. It is a Hupp from the 1940’s. There were only 15,000 made. (i had a nice conversation with the owner, he gave me the whole history)

I love this view from the glass in the doorway to the sanctuary.

Jody and Kyle will be getting married in August. Here are a few from their session.

I look forward to working with them again.

Ahh the Judd family. What a fine looking bunch. We started at 8:00 and it was already 95 degrees.

Mom and dad. I went to school with Michelle and i swear she looks exactly the same!

Son Chase .

And T.J.

He did land safely on the other side.

Chase one by a hair. Thank you Pierce family for the use of your beautiful farm!

————————————————————————————–

I love Sawyer! He is always a great baby! Well toddler now. I met Sawyer and his mom at dogwood park on this hot day.

Sweet cheeks!

His dad just just happened to drive by on a break and pulled in to see him. Here he is spotting daddy-o.

After we finished there, we walked up to the local toy store (Discovery Depot).

I love that little crease in his neck.

He racked up with this new toy to take home!

Well here we are already into July. Here is what is going on in the Callahan household…Josie (my 10 year old) has been at Camp Monterey for a month. It is the greatest girls camp ever. Girls come from all over the country to be there. No phones, video games, or t.v. It’s back to the basics and she loves it! Here is a picture my hubby Shea took while we were there visiting-I think i might hire him.

Me and mini-me

Okay, let’s see Millie is going to be 1 year old on July 10th. I can’t believe how time flies. My husband Shea (and the rest of us as a family) made it through his first year of law school at Vanderbilt so needless to say it’s been quite a school year. Enough about us and on to the pictures…

The Robertson family-Love them-take their pictures every year and here they are.

Joseph and daughter Emma Grace taking a twirl.

William-all of the guys in this family look like Kennedys.

Davis hiding from me.

Caught the boys off guard while they thought i was taking a picture of their sister.

Next session was little Keltie-i took her picture last year. I love seeing all of my repeat clients and how much their children grow and change!

Love how she has a death grip on dads head!

Little itch there.

Marshmallows were the bribe for her.

Her dad had broken a sweat by the time we had finished.

Next was little Carlen. She is a beautiful baby.

Her outfit belonged to her mom Celia when she was a baby.

Look at the little knuckle dimples.

I love baby toes.

Next we have the whole Winningham clan. There was a slew of them. We went to an incredible place called the old mill. It was gorgeous!

It was good to see little Sophie again-they had moved to Virginia but came home for a visit. Sophie was adopted from Russia and now has a baby brother also from Russia!

Sophie’s brother Sam.

Cousin Dylan.

Dylan and brother Drew.

Dylan’s dad is a state trooper and came in for a quick family picture, when he left he turned on his siren and this was the reaction. Aren’t kids the best?!

Lord what a cute kid!

Sophie really enjoyed splashing and getting Sam wet.

Sam…not so much.

Baby Bella-This was my first time to meet her. She was an angel!

Look how sweet!

Cousin Maddox came with her. I always love seeing him!

Brody turned one! I took pictures of him before he was even here. I went to his house for this session.

Here he is with his mom Mary Ellen.

This was his birthday hat. It just wouldn’t be right without the passie.

Case is almost one year also. He is a doll.

Mom Selicia giving him a twirl.

Look at mom and dad.

Didn’t take a minute to be back to smiles again!

Here is Corey. He is also one!

He was getting some new teeth in.

Wardrobe change!

Baby Brett is 8 months old. All four of these cutie pies are on the baby section of my website-see if you can pick them out and see how they have grown!

He loved for mom and dad to give him a swing.

Look at his dads reflection in the window.

The Young family came out to the farm for their shoot too.

Jack giving me a wink.

His sisters Lauren and Holly twirling around him. He was the serious sort . I love it when kids are like that!

Love this shot of Holly.

Lauren getting her hair fixed.

This is sweet Hope. These are a few of the shots we did for her senior pictures. She brought her cousin Taylor who kept us both laughing the whole time.

She was a joy to work with. Check back soon for Jamie and Matts wedding, Rebecca and Nicks wedding, Jody and Kyles engagement session and Julie and Bills wedding!
